ABRIA MYERS
About Me.
Abria is a Philadelphia-based Fashion Designer, Product Developer, and Educator whose work exists at the intersection of fashion, cultural storytelling, and creative production. With experience spanning apparel design, sample development, merchandising coordination, editorial support, and fashion history research, she brings both creative vision and operational understanding to multidisciplinary fashion environments.
She earned her Associate of Science in Fashion Design from Harcum College and her BFA in Fashion Design from Moore College of Art & Design. Throughout her career, Abria has designed and developed garments from concept through prototype while collaborating with independent brands, stylists, photographers, and creative teams across editorial, commercial, and educational spaces. Her experience includes garment construction, sample lifecycle management, vendor coordination, product presentation, merchandising support, and e-commerce operations.
Abria’s multidisciplinary background also extends into fashion history and film production. As the Philadelphia-based intern for Bearhouse Media’s documentary project Becoming American, set to premiere on WHYY, she conducted archival fashion research focused on the history and dress of enslaved Black Americans while also scouting production locations throughout Philadelphia. She additionally contributed to work connected to the Ruth E. Carter Exhibition through the African American Museum, deepening her engagement with fashion as both cultural preservation and visual storytelling.
In addition to her design practice, Bria has worked extensively in fashion education as a Sewing Instructor at Fleisher Art Memorial and as a Teaching Assistant at Harcum College, mentoring emerging creatives in garment construction, draping, and concept development.
Her contemporary aesthetic incorporates bold silhouettes, asymmetry, intricate seam lines, and thoughtful textile exploration, drawing inspiration from nature, architecture, and the richness of African and African American culture. Through her work, Abria seeks to create meaningful experiences rooted in resilience, healing, empowerment, and joy.
